Aakash Chopra Raises Several Inquiries After India’s T20I Squad Announcement: As Squad selection for T20I against Afghanistan has been completed on Sunday, January 7. After the absence in the T20I series, Virat and Rohit are going to play this format. In the 16 member squad these two are also included.

But Aakash Chopra after selecting the squad, he questioned squad members about the absence of Shreyas Iyer and also non selection of Ishan Kishan.

As India has announced about the 3 day T20I match against Afghanistan, and most of the fans will be happy as Rohit and Virat has again joined in the T20I series, as they stopped playing T20I’s after India defeat in the semi finals of 2022.

But in this selection there are many names that are missed, Aakash Chopra has raised questions in the selection that was taken by the selection comittee.

As he is frustated he took X which is formerly twitter to question the comittee about the non selction of Ishan Kishan and absence of shreyas Iyer who just played 2 series against Australia and South Africa.

Chopra wrote in twitter that,

“Iyer was nominated as the Vice-Captain for the 5-match T20I series vs Australia. Was a part of the squad against SA too. Now, finds no place in the team vs Afghanistan,” 

“Dubey was in the squad vs Aus at home. Wasn’t picked for SA. Back in the team vs AFG.
Also, where is Ishan Kishan? Any news on his availability?”

Iyer was nominated as the Vice-Captain for the 5-match T20i series vs Australia. Was a part of the squad against SA too.
Now, finds no place in the team vs Afghanistan.
