Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ today announced the CBSE 10th, 12th board exam 2021dates. The education ministry has said that CBSE practical exams will begin from March 1 and Board Examination will be conducted from May 4 to June 10. Results will be announced by July 15.

The Central Board of Secondary Education said that the practical exams will be conducted by schools from March 1, results for classes 10 and 12 will be declared by July 15.

Schools for Class 10, 12 in Bihar to reopen from January 4

Schools for students of Class 10 and 12 in Bihar will reopen from January 4, said a notification issued by the state Education Ministry. Schools have been directed to follow all the guidelines pertaining to the pandemic and disaster management law along with social distancing guidelines.

Schools, colleges in Mumbai not to reopen till January 15

Citing the fear of a second wave of coronavirus, the Mumbai civic body has decided not to reopen schools and colleges in the city till January 15, 2021.

Schools to reopen partially in Kerala from January 1

The classes for 10th and 12th standards in Kerala schools would begin from January 1. As per the present plan, the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Higher Secondary (HSC) second-year state board exams would be held from March 17 to 30 in strict compliance with COVID protocols.

The CBSE has also reduced the syllabus for each subject by 30 per cent to help students cope with the academic stress amid COVID-19 pandemic. The paper pattern of the board exams will be based on the reduced syllabus. Students can also check the revised syllabus of the exam on the official website of CBSE.

“Keeping the COVID -19 pandemic in mind and adhering to the principle of ‘Safety with Education’, CBSE will adopt various measures for the safety and security of every student. I can assure you that board exams will be conducted with the same proficiency as JEE and NEET exams,” Pokhriyal said today.

Pre-board exams conducted online

Several schools have already conducted pre-board exams online to keep the students prepared. Schools across the country were closed in March to contain the spread of COVID-19. They were partially reopened in some states from October 15. However, a few states have decided to keep them closed in view of a spike in the number of infections.

According to the education minister, the Central Board of Secondary Education will begin the class 10 and class 12 practical exams from March 1 and the board exams would begin from May 4.
