Dale Steyn Compares Cover Drives of Kohli and Reeza Hendricks: Former India Captain Virat Kohli is the best cover driver in the cricket ball in the modern era and everyone knows that and there is nothing new in that. Very few members can play the game like that with control and precision.

South African legend compared Virat Kohli’s cover drive with the countryman Reeza Hendricks during the second T20I on Tuesday. With that statement, some eyebrows were raised among fans.

Reeza Hendricks was one of the hosts on Tuesday, and he played 49 off 27 balls to get SA off to the perfect start in a 152-run chase. Dale Steyn compared Reza with the former Virat Kohli about the cover drive.

Speaking to Star Sports, Dale praised Reeza Hendricks for the ability he have a perfect time for the ball and also about being able to play the big shots.

“He played so beautifully, technically correct but he also has an incredible power game and he is a wonderful timer of the ball. We talk about Virat Kohli having the classical beautiful drive, Reeza Hendricks is right up there in playing that shot,” he said.

“It’s not a game that they can delve deep into and say we lost it here, we lost it there. India bowled well. They were unlucky at times. They had fielders in the right places. You saw having a second slip that showed you that the ball was doing a little bit.”

“India was a little unlucky. They found the edge of his bat once or twice at the start. They put in a second slip there, he was quite in position and they went a little wide but he managed to get a couple of sneaky boundaries but that’s cricket.

He rode his luck and batted really well at the end of the day,” he also added.
