AUS vs PAK: Usman Khawaja Addresses the Special Bond Between His Mother And Opener After David Warner’s Departure.

David Warner Hugs Usman Khawaja’s Mother After Retirement: As per the previous announcement, David Warner got retired from Test cricket after winning the test series against Pakistan.

After completion of David Warner’s farewell test, Warner hugs Khawaja’s mother, and Usman Khawaja has revealed a special bond between his mother and opener.

David when he was playing the final match on his home ground, shared the opening innings, with his childhood friend Khawaja. Warner ended his career with victory as they clean sweep Pakistan in the three-match test series.

Speaking to Starsports, Khawaja shared about his friend by saying,

“Quite emotional walking back, such a long time, such an amazing journey (on David Warner), I’m very proud of having walked out to bat with him, loved the way he took on the bowlers and completed the 3-0 series win.

I’ll remember him as an entertainer and a performer, when you get David Warner you’ll get something unexpected at all times.”

And also shared the relationship between his mother and David as his mother admires David a lot. And also said that,

“He (Warner) is hugging my mom, she loves him a lot. Honestly, I just enjoyed batting with him, he attacked the ball, let me play my game.” “When I finish (my career), we can enjoy playing a round of golf together.”

He also added,

“Be yourself, you can’t try to be someone else, you just can’t go out and strike in the 70s (when asked if Warner can be replaced seamlessly). Test cricket is a tough place, you go out and do it your way.”

Khawaja and David have grown up together since childhood, and they have a deep connection in International cricket. When he stepped on to play a cricket test match in Australia, Warner chose Khawaja as his opening partner.
