Left Arm Seamer David Willey Announced Retirement From International Cricket Team After World Cup 2023

David Willey Announces To Retire From International Cricket Team After World Cup 2023: England Pacer Willey who has experience in more than 110 white ball internationals, and is also a member of the T20 World Cup 2022, announced his retirement after this World Cup 2023 has been posted in social media.

Willey is the one person among the England players and he is the one who increased his reputation in the last four weeks, but he was not pleased with the words of Rob Key. He clearly explained his decision on his Instagram page.

Willey Wrote about his decision in his social media post on 1st November like this,

“I never wanted this day to come. From a Young boy, I have only dreamed of playing cricket for England. So with careful thought and consideration, it is great regret that I feel the time has come for me to retire from all forms of international cricket at the end of the World Cup”.

“I have won the shirt from immense pride and given my absolute everything to the badge on my chest. I’ve been very lucky to be a part of such an incredible whiteball team, with some of the best players in the world. I have made some special memories and great friends along the way and have been through some very difficult times”. Again he added with some more.

” To my wife, two children, mum, and dad, I wouldn’t have been able to follow my dreams without any sacrifice and unwavering support throughout.

Thank you for sharing the special memories and picking up the pieces when I have fallen apart” – I am eternally grateful. He continued.

David Willey was left out at the start of the World Cup but he has shown his talent and impressed everyone by picking up crucial wickets for Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Surya Kumar Yadav.
