Gavaskar Has High Hopes for Young Batsmen in Upcoming Series Against England: Sunil Gavaskar talked about the cases of Indian batters in the preparation for the 1st test against England. Upto now we are all aware that the first two tests between india and England are without Virat Kohli.

As Jaiswal is the left-handed batter, Virat expects the RR opener to place himself on the Test cricket map once the completion of England series. Jaiswal was newly selected in ICC’s T20I Team of the Year for 2023, as he secured above 45 in the longest format for India.

While speaking to Star Sports, Gavaskar stated, “Yashasvi Jaiswal will easily settle in home conditions. He’s also a left-hander. I think he’ll establish himself completely in the Indian Test team after this series”.

“In the World Cup, Shreyas Iyer batted brilliantly in Indian pitches, so I’m hoping he’ll play similarly at No.5 in the Test series. He batted aggressively, was quite watchful at the start, and then his stroke-making after reading the pitch was a delight to watch. I hope he’ll replicate that,” Gavaskar added further.
