Gutted Riyan Parag Reaction After RR Loss Against SRH: Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad had a thrilling match on May 2, Thursday. Till the last over RR was in a good position in the chase of 202 runs.

But the last over and last ball changed the fate of the Royals and SRH took a win against Rajasthan Royals. And Riyan Parag, the RR player, felt so sorry and bad for the run defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL clash.

‘Wasn’t at my best, otherwise…’: Gutted Riyan After Loss Against SRH

In the last match, on May 2, Thursday, Riyan Parag left the ground with plenty of regrets for a run loss against SRH. In this IPL 2024 season, Parag played 10 matches and scored 409 runs at an average of 58.43 and a strike rate of 159.14.

Parag made his IPL debut in RR in 2019 and after the defeat with SRH held on May 2, Parag acknowledged his performance and the team’s prospects.

Speaking at the post-match presentation batsman Parag said,

“I got a lot of areas to improve. I am not in my best form, I would have finished the game otherwise. I have a lot of areas to perfect. I try to learn from my mistakes and not repeat them. Is it my best innings? No. I would say that if I get a hundred,”

“It is never good to end on the losing side. We did a lot of things right. We will focus on more rather than dwelling on our mistakes. We are in a good position in the points table. Just one bad game I guess. We made a few errors in two-three overs, which cost us the game. That is how T20 is, IPL is.”

“I do not think any of us threw our wickets. Jaiswal played that scoop because Natrajan was bowling good slower bouncers, hence he predicted a yorker and went for it.

I was trying to muscle it for six. Probably an error in execution. We would have liked to stay till the end. Credit to how SRH bowled, how Bhuvneshwar and Cummins bowled, especially that 19th over by Cummins,” Parag concluded.

RR will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) on May 7, and SRH will next face Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium on May 6.
