That’s why as we are growing, we are becoming lazy and turning into personalities who are totally unconscious about their health, diet, sleep, and career. Almost any form of sports or movement can increase your fitness level while decreasing your stress. The most important thing is to pick an activity that you enjoy and makes you feel relaxed.

Examples include walking, athletics, cricket, kabaddi, football, martial arts, stair climbing, jogging, dancing, bicycling, yoga, tai chi, gardening, weightlifting, and swimming. ‘Killer instinct’ is necessary at all times. Apart from these skills sports inculcate the most important skill within yourself that is Discipline. It inculcates the value of sportsmanship which helps you to transform into a better personality.

It helps you to nurture yourself by building self-confidence within yourself. Sports not just only assist you to develop focus but also helps you to become more efficient with the time. Since we know sports require a lot of strategic thinking and planning, one of the best advantages of sports is strategic and analytical planning and skills.

So, sports have a lot of advantages like it helps you to build confidence, passion and most importantly your concentration. In this digital era, students are more accustomed to playing online games which are leading to a destructive way of living a life. There is no proper routine, no proper life balance, no sufficient sleep, and an imbalanced diet. All these aspects lead to depression which causes harm to the mental health of the student. So, sports act as a way of bringing your life on track rather than making you lazy. It makes you more amazing.

The students are very much engaged in the sports activities and have a bonding capability. In sports, they have to work as a team which teaches them how to enhance a social relationship which is also an important parameter of life. We all remember April 2nd, 2011, here in Mumbai, when we won the Cricket World Cup.

On my way back from the Wankhede Stadium, there were wild celebrations all over Mumbai, across the streets all the way up to Chembur, Tilak Nagar; and I am sure the celebrations were equally ecstatic across the country. Unifying all, across lines of age, religion, caste, socio-economic status, educational qualifications, position held in society. Sports help you to build a community irrespective of caste, gender, religion, and community. Sports acts as an integrating factor among the people by unifying them and through love and support.

Sports teaches students to be emotionally strong. Most of the students often have to deal with some of the other emotional issues in their life, either at home or in school. The skill they develop through sports helps them to accept all defeats as well as wins. Hence, students who are involved in games and sports are in a much better position to deal with tough situations. Sports enable depressed people to come out of that condition. It’s important to start the sport at a young age and be skilled in some game by youth age.
