‘India Have Done Well Without Him’ Hussain on Pant’s Successful Return in 2024: Pant, who is widely viewed as one of the most talented wicketkeeper-batters across the globe, is also the captain of the Delhi Capitals in the IPL.

Previously he was a challenging performer in the December 2022 match, during India’s second Test against Bangladesh. Since that time, cricket loves have been eagerly awaiting his comeback to the field and showcase his skills to bag the victory in the upcoming IPL season.

Later in the month, he got injured in a car accident and failed to perform for the whole of the 2023 year. Now, he is great and healed from the injuries. After knowing this news, former England captain Nasser Hussain has commented that the entire world has been waiting for his comeback.

“That was such a serious accident. The whole world held its breath and it has been a slow recovery,” Hussain is mentioned as saying by the ICC. He also stated that former Australia captain and commentator Ricky Ponting, examining and taking care of Pant.

“You follow on social media, on my phone, and the initial first walking steps to the scenes in the gym and then scenes of him playing a bit of cricket, scenes of him with Ricky (Ponting). I traveled with Ricky in the summer in the Ashes, and Ricky was texting him ‘how’s the progress coming along’, and he is a box office cricketer,” voiced Hussain.

The young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant has given his finest performances against the England team, specifically in the Test matches. Upto now, in his 12 innings against them, he has scored a total of 781 runs, which contains three centuries and four half-centuries.

When it comes to KL Rahul, in the absence of Rishabh Pant, he has been accepting the responsibility of wicketkeeping for the Indian cricket team. Even though Rahul’s outstanding knocks in the role, Rishabh Pant is believed to be the top choice for the team whenever he is available for selection.

Rishabh Pant has been an important performer in Test cricket for India, he has achieved 2271 runs in 33 matches with an average of 43.67 containing five centuries and 11 half-centuries. Since Pant’s debut in August 2018, achieved the title of important player for the Indian cricket team because of his assertive batting style from the lower.

“India has done well without him (Pant) as KL has come in and been brilliant in all formats,” Nasser stated. “They’ll continue to be brilliant. They’re lucky to have both of them, but Rishabh Pant, before his injury, was box office, and hopefully, after his injury, will be box office as well.”
