India selector Sarandeep Singh Says That India Need Virat and Rohit: Many of the fans felt sad when Rohit and Virat said that they were not playing in T20Is as they are only concentrating on ODI 50 over formats.

But the good news is that Rohit and Virat are ready to play the T20I series against IND vs AFG. And Now ther are in the 16 member squad for the series of IND vs AFG matches.

Even many legendary cricketers argued that Rohit and Kohli need to play the series in that Sarandeep Singh is also one. He said that, India need Virat and Kohli in the T20I series.

Talking to PTI Sarandeep singh said that,

“It is the right call. In ICC events, you need players who can handle pressure well. They both were great in the ODI World Cup and are in top form. However, this development means it would be very difficult to accommodate Jaiswal and Ruturaj,”

“You have to prepare bench strength also. In all probability, this will be their last T20 World Cup. If Rohit and Virat were not rested, you could not have tried the likes of Jaiswal, Ruturaj, Jitesh (Sharma) and others,” Sarandeep Singh said.

“Having said that, these two greats don’t need to play the shortest format to make a comeback. Eventually, the performance of all the World Cup probables in the IPL will make the picture clearer for the subsequent World Cup,” the former India spinner further added.

This T20I three match series against IND vs AFG is the final assignment ahead of T20 World Cup. After this, India is going to play 5 match series against England and then going to focus on IPL 2024.
