‘Mumbai, Ye Kya Ho Gaya’: Indian Cricketer Rohit Sharma Stunned After Witnessing the Polluted Skyline From Plane

India Skipper Rohit Sharma’s Instagram Story ‘Mumbai Ye Kya Ho Gaya’: Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma uttered shock after watching Mumbai’s polluted skyline from the plane. He used the social media platform aka official Instagram handle to post the picture from his plane with a caption like ‘Mumbai, Yeh Kya Ho Gaya’.

Rohit directly disputed the air quality in Mumbai after stepping into the country’s financial capital on October 31st (Tuesday) prior to the ODI 2023 World Cup match between India and Sri Lanka at Wankhede Stadium. The experience made him post a pic as insta story and express how poor the air quality was.

As per the CPCB data till October 31, 2023, the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) is 161 as the city remained to experience cloudy skies. At Bandra Kurla Complex, the AQI levels crossed high at 257 which is considered the worst air quality, Bandra East’s Kherwadi area’s AQI level is 198, and the AQI level of Navy Nagar in Colaba is 189.

Rohit’s revealing of poor air quality is not the first complaint from the cricketer’s side, it has been in focal point in the last 2 weeks. Recently, England’s former Joe Root particularly blamed the pollution levels during their stay in Mumbai for the match against South Africa, stating ‘It was like Eating Air’.
