Mohammad Rizwan’s Controversial Dismissal in 2nd Test: Australia and Pakistan were ready to compete in the final test of the three-match series on January 3rd in the Sydney Cricket Ground.

In this three-match series with Australia, Pakistan was led by Shan Masood, and till now they have played two matches and in both Australia won the match and also the series.

But in the 2nd test, Mohammad Rizwan’s dismissal was taken up to ICC By PCB. And his dismissal became a huge controversy.

On Friday, in the second Test between Pakistan and Australia has been going on, the on-field umpire refused to give Rizwan out after Australian captain Pat Cummins appealed for a caught behind.

However, the home side refused to overturn the decision through the DRS. However, the Pakistan team was unhappy about the decision even after the Snickometer was shown a spike on it when the ball was just above the wrist of Rizwan.

After the controversial dismissal of Rizwan Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to take up the issue with the Indian Cricket Council.

Speaking to the post-match press conference at MCG after the second test, Haffeez pointed out the inconsistent umpiring.

“If you look at the entire game, there were very inconsistent decisions by the umpires. We play this beautiful game of cricket with instinct, and we all know the basics of the game,”

He also said “However, at times, it feels like the focus is more on technology than on actual cricket being played. I believe this is an area that needs to be addressed.”

Why Rizwan’s Dismissal Became Controversial?

When the Pakistan and Australia second test on Day 4 was going on, in the 61st over, the first three balls looked in good touch. But when it came to the fourth ball, Cummins bowled a short ball, and Rizwan attempted to duck.

But the ball moved close to Rizwan’s arm and Cummins appealed for that. On field umpire dismissed the Cummins appeal but he again went upstairs. When they are seen in the Snickometer, there is a clear edge that his wristband came out.

So, Rizwan wanted to make a move, but after Rizwan entered the dressing room, he said to Hafeez that the ball did not touch his gloves. So Hafeez slammed the use of technology in the post-match press conference.
