New York Security on High Alert Mainly For IND – PAK Match Following ISIS -K Threat: Every Cricket enthusiast and fan is waiting for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 which is going to start from June 1 to June 29.

Most of them were waiting mainly for the India vs Pakistan match which is going to be held on June 9. These matches are going to be held in the USA and West Indies. Due to the threat from ISIS –K, New York has tightened its security because of the terror threat.

New York Officials Tighten Security After Terror Threat to T20 WC 2024

Ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, this mega event received there was a terror threat earlier this year, particularly for the high-voltage clash against India and Pakistan on June 9. For that, the New York government has given high-alert security.

The Newyork governor, policemen, and everyone are at work to keep the fans safe. New York Governor Hochul on her X account wrote that,

“In preparation for the T20 World Cup 2024, my team has been working with federal & local law enforcement to keep attendees safe. While there is no credible threat at this time, I’ve directed New York Police to elevate security measures & we’ll continue to monitor as the event nears.”

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman was quoted saying by CNN, that they had arranged many health care and security concerns.

“This is like the Super Bowl on steroids. There will be teams from all over the world coming in. There will be fans from all over the world coming to Nassau County â€æ we have been meeting for well over six months regularly to talk about security concerns and health care concerns, which could potentially arise at any kind of event of this magnitude.”

“We take every threat seriously. There are the same procedures for every threat. To that end, we have taken many, many precautions as well as making sure that the stadium and the surrounding Eisenhower Park are safe,” he added.

Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick J. Ryder said that he would guarantee to give the largest security.

“I can guarantee you this. This is the largest security we’ve ever had to do in this county’s history, and I can also guarantee you this – the safest place to be in Nassau County on June 9th will be inside that stadium.”
