Not Dravid or Laxman, Former Batter Will Serve as India Coach For the South Africa ODI’s: We know that India is facing three ODI’s against South Africa. presently they have completed three three-match T20I series in South Africa.

In this upcoming South Africa three ODI that is going to start on Sunday, Rahul Dravid is not going to be a coach for India. The first ODI is going to start on Sunday, December 17 at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.

According to Cricbuzz, Dravid is going to take up the preparations for a two-match test series by joining the red ball squad. And as we already know, KL Rahul is going to lead India in the 50-over matches in the absence of Rohit Sharma.

Even though VVS Laxman has served as India’s head coach for the last couple of years, he was also not named for the replacement of Dravid as a head coach.

BCCI has said that, instead of being a coach, Dravid will look after a three-day match inter-squad match that is going to start on December 20, at Pretoria.

Now, we got to know that, Neither VVS Laxman nor Dravid is going to take the head coach position for the ODI’s three-match South Africa series.

Sitanshu Kotak is going to take on the duties of head coach, and he is also a member of the National Cricket Academy, support staff, and recently worked as the batting coach for India in the India vs Australia T20I series.

“The ODI team will be assisted by India A’s coaching staff comprising batting coach Sitanshu Kotak, bowling coach Rajib Datta, and fielding coach Ajay Ratra,” BCCI said.

In addition to him, Ajay Ratra will serve as the fielding coach, and Rajib Dutta, will be the bowling coach and both of them are also NCA staff.

Meanwhile, Kohli, Ashwin, Bumrah, Navdeep Saini, and Harshit Rana (part of the A team) departed for South Africa on Friday. And Captain Rohit was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Friday night.

Shami, on the other hand, was ruled out as he failed to recover from the ankle injury.
