India is going to play their first game of the T20 World Cup against Ireland on June 5 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

Assam-born Riyan Parag is a team member of Rajasthan Royals and he played excellently which gave him hope to get a place in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. But that doesn’t happen.

Parag told to Bharat Army, that he was concerned about the top 4 countries once he got to participate in the World Cup.

“It would be a very biased answer, but to be very honest, I don’t even want to watch the World Cup. I will just see who is winning it at the end and I will be happy. When I will play the World Cup, then I will think about the top 4 and all of that.”

Parag told PTI that,

“At some point, you’ll have to take me, right? So that is my belief, I’m going to play for India. I don’t care when,” Parag told PTI.

“When I was not scoring runs – I said this in an interview as well that I am going to play for India.”

“That is me believing in myself. That is not me being arrogant. That is what my plan was with my dad when I started playing cricket when I was like 10 years old. We were going to play for India regardless of anything.”
