How to Revert Back to Windows 10 from the Windows 11?

Any user can switch back or downgrade to the previous build version of Windows 10 in case you are not satisfied with the new Windows 11 operating system. You can follow the steps to switch back:

  • Click on the ( Win + I ) keys to open the settings tab
  • Under the left pane, select the Windows 11 update option
  • Then proceed to select the ‘advanced options’ button present on the right panel.
  • Select the recovery option which you will find under the ‘Additional Options’ section.
  • On this tab, you will then find an option to switch back to the previous version of Windows. So you can click the ‘go back’ option.
  • In case you are not connected to a power supply, it is recommended to connect to one. It is because you cannot switch back on the battery power alone.
  • Once you have connected to a power supply, the system will require you to state the reason. Saying why you want to switch back with a message like “Why are you Switching Back?”
  • You can select any option according to you and then click on the Next button
  • When it prompts you to check for updates, simply click on ‘No, Thanks’.
  • The system will then a new about a few things so make sure that you have read all of them properly
  • To avoid being locked out of your Microsoft account, ensured that you know the password of your Microsoft account beforehand.
  • Then select the ‘ Go back to an earlier build’ option available
  • This entire process of recovery may take about 20–30 minutes if not more, so remember to wait patiently.

During this recovery time, your device may restart several times but it is not a reason to worry. Once the downgrade to Windows 10 is complete your device will automatically boot into Windows 10.
