Shane Watson Praises Iyer For His Leadership Skills At KKR Players: In the Indian Premier League, KKR has found fourth place by thrashing the SRH, and after seeing it, Shane Watson speaking on Star Sports praised Shreyas Iyer for his captaincy.

In the KKR vs SRH match, Shreyas Iyer played a dominant Knock with 58* off just 24 balls on 8 wicket victory.

In the T20 World Cup 2024, in the 15-member squad, Iyer was not selected. Iyer missed the last IPL season but this time he did well. Talking at the Star Sports interview, Watson said that Iyer had created a culture where the other players were thriving around him.

Watson said on Star Sports that, he lauded Iyer for his best captaincy.

“Yeah, he played a crucial innings as well. He’s batted nicely through this IPL. But being able to put on a dominant display like he did 58 is also an awe-inspiring time.”

“To be able to know that you’re hitting the ball incredibly well. But as a leader, he’s had a lot of success, which means that he’s getting the best of the people around him. It’s not just him doing his thing and he’s performing well,” he added.

“The team around him, the players around him are doing very well, which is which is a telltale sign that you as a leader are doing a very good job.”

“You’re not suffocating players around you by putting too much pressure on you, just allowing people to have that freedom to play their very best. And tonight they were all very, very good,” he concluded.

KKR is in the fourth place in the playoffs in the Indian Premier League. Previously, in 2012 and 2014, KKR won the title twice.
