India vs South Africa: India star batter Virat Kohli recreated Stuart Broad’s famous bail-flip moment from the Ashes in the ongoing Centurion Test in South Africa’s first innings. Broad was quick to react to Kohli’s act. Kohli produced a moment of magic during the first Test match on the second day of play amid a strong batting performance from the Proteas, which had largely left the Indian bowling attack frustrated.

Taking inspiration from legendary England’s pacer Start Broad’s bail flip trick in the Ashes which left the cricketing world in shock, as Kohli followed the same trick in between overs before Bumrah was set to resume his over.

It was on the last ball of the same over that Jasprit Bumraj took his first Test wicket in 18 months by dismissing Tony de Zorzi. The dismissal broke a 93-run partnership between Dean Elgar and de Zorzi.

Later, TV replays showed Kohli’s trick, which went viral on social media. Broad, who originated the act earlier this year, reacted to Kohli’s action with a two-word tweet. “With success,” Broad wrote on Twitter by tagging Kohli.

When we discussed the match, South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl first. The Indian batting order was collapsed with Kagiso Rabada running riot with a five-wicket haul. KL Rahul was the highlighter of India’s batting effort with a sensational century.

Kohli looked in fine touch with the bat with a fluent knock of 38 in just 46 balls before getting out.

In response, South Africa has taken the lead, with former skipper Deam Elgar leading with a century. Elgar is playing his final Test. Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj have taken 2 wickets each for India.
