IPL 2024: RCB’s dressing room celebrations after their victory against the DC have gone viral on social media. This was their 5th straight win in the Indian Premier League tournament. Before the winning streak, RCB had lost 6 games in a row.

Bengaluru made a few important changes in approach to turn their fortunes around. They now have 12 points from 13 games, just like Delhi Capitals and need a win over defending champions CSK in the last league game in Bengaluru on May 18 to push their case for a playoff berth.

As expected, the Bengaluru dressing room celebrations are at their peak after their win over Delhi. The coaching staff appreciated everyone’s effort and the celebration was like none other seen till now in IPL 2024.

In the celebrations video, pacers Cameron Green and Rajat Patidar can be seen enjoying in full blast. Earlier, RCB head coach Andy Flower had spoken about the change of approach made by the top order, who looked to be more attacking from the begin. Flower had lauded the bowling unit as well who were trying to be as attacking with their lengths and options as possible.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru kept their playoff dreams intact through Rajat Patidar’s blazing half-century and a strong-willed effort from the bowlers, who set up the host’s 47-run win against Delhi Capitals.

“Faf and Virat particularly have led from the front with their actions, and the rest of the team have been outstanding. I think we have seen an uptick in the way that we’ve bowled in the powerplay, and I think that’s been led by Siraj and Yash Dayal. Both have been very skilful and courageous with the new ball,” Flower said in an RCB video.

The target of 188 was not insurmountable, but Delhi Capitals chase descended into disarray once they lost 4 wickets inside 3.3 overs upfront, finishing at 140, with Axar Patel 57 playing a lone hand.

Delhi need a victory over LSG in the final league match on May 14 to be eligible for playoffs. Going back to the game, Impact Player David Warner, who misses the action for close to a month because of a wrist injury, slog-swept left-arm spinner Swapnil Singh into the waiting hands of Will Jacks at deep.

The dismissal flagged off Delhi’s train of disaster. Left-arm pacer Yash Dayal (3/20) consumed Abishek Porel, caught at covers by Lockie Ferguson, in the first delivery of the third over.
