Why is Steve Smith not Playing AUG vs AFG Match

The star batsman Steve Smith is ruled out of the clash because of his prevailing vertigo problem.

Australian captain Pat Cummins informed at the toss time that Steve Smith is missing out due to his struggle in Monday’s practice session and he is undergoing Vertigo even leading up to the Game on Tuesday. Cumin said, “Steve struggled in the warm-ups and he’s going to miss out, Cam Green misses out as well, Maxwell and Marsh are in.” Mitchell Marsh will be batting at number 3 for Australia.

Steve Smith Informed About Vertigo Issue on Monday

Australian batter Steve Smith informed about the Vertigo problem at the press conference. Smith said, “I have had a bit of vertigo stuff the last day or so, so it has just been a bit annoying. So, hopefully, I can get through training today and be all good. But, yeah, it is not a nice place to be.” He was present at the practice session but he was sick and took rest.

Steve was hoping for a recovery on Tuesday, but he had the same problem at the Wabkhede Stadium. Hashmayullah said they have chased down totals nicely and now they want to try to defend totals heading up to the important games in their history.

Afghanistan has a golden chance to qualify for the WC semis if they beat Australia and South Africa. Afghanistan team have defeated England, Pakistan, Netherlands and Sri Lanka in the current World Cup. Australia needs only one win to join the semifinals. Australia are on a dominating run in the ongoing World Cup after losing the first two games.
