Rishabh Pant Recalls India’s Debut with England in 2017: Indian Wicket Keeper Rishabh Pant went down memory lane and remembered the debut of the Indian Cricket team against England.

He expressed gratitude after an impressive stint at the U-19 2016 World Cup. The Pant’s maiden performance occurred during the T20I match held at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore against England.

Pant recalled the memory of the India Cricket team debut in 2017 against England. Rishabh Pant talking to Star Sports ‘Believe’ Series,

“The majority of the time I didn’t feel like that. I was in awe at the beginning. You have watched all of them on TV. But they were all welcoming. Even the super seniors made me comfortable,”

Acknowledging and nurturing environment around him, Pant also added,

“It’s the team culture to make everyone comfortable. And when it happens at the start, it’s good. Because at 17-18 years, you know nothing about life.”

“You have experiences, of course, I tried to learn as a kid. I think all of these things are beneficial, not everyone gets experiences like these. And the things you learn from your experiences help you a lot in your life. Your brain starts reading life like that,” also added.

I made my Indian cricket team debut on February 1st, 2017, and I had the privilege of representing my country at the highest level of the sport. A very proud moment and I always get goosebumps thinking about that day!

Rishabh Pant Performance on T20I Debut

Pant came to bat in the 19th over after left-arm fast bowler Tymal Mills got the crucial wicket of Yuvraj Singh. Pant hit Mills for a four-through short fine leg to stay not out on 5 off 3 balls.

Pant did not get a strike in the last over as MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya played out all the balls. India put up a massive score of 202 for the loss of 6 wickets.
