Micheal Aherthon Got Impressed by Shoaib Bashir’s Debut Performance: The India vs England test series was going on with impressive performances from both teams. Till now, India and England completed 2 test matches of a five-match test series.

Shoaib Bashir has given an impressive performance even though it is his debut. Michael Atherton praises Shoaib for his ‘nerveless’ performance in the second test held in Visakhapatnam.

Shoaib is the one who wants to be from the start of the series, but as everyone knows he got stuck in his hometown due to VISA issues. And he successfully returned for the second test in Vizag.

Bashir has showcased his talent and composure by taking 2 important wickets of Rohit Sharma and Axar Patel on the opening day. Micheal Atherton was impressed by the intelligent bowler’s performance and praised him.

Speaking to the reporters, Micheal said about Bashir that,

“I always thought I would be here. I knew the BCCI and ECB were working hard. I had no doubts. We’re here now. I’ve made my debut and that’s what matters. It makes it more memorable.”

“Getting Rohit Sharma out first up is very special. He’s a very good player of spin. I just let it all out. It’s the passion. I love playing cricket, it’s what I’ve always wanted to do. I could have been in uni[versity] instead.”

Speaking to SkySports Network, Atherton said that,

“I thought Bashir did well.”

“With England’s spinners, you have to recognize the context and these lads are right at the start of their careers.
