IND vs AUS 3rd T20I: Mukesh Kumar Takes Wedding Break, Deepak Chahar Joins Indian Squad

BCCI has announced that pacer Mukesh Kumar has been granted leave for the third T20I against Australia at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Mukesh was part of the first two T20Is playing XI and is getting married today.

“Fast bowler Mukesh Kumar made a request to BCCI to be released from India’s squad ahead of the third T20I against Australia in Guwahati. Mukesh is getting married and has been granted leave for the duration of his wedding festivities,” the BCCI stated.

“He will join the squad ahead of the 4th T20I in Raipur,” it added. The BCCI has announced that right-arm pacer Deepak Chahar has been added to the squad for the remaining series.

Mukesh was wicketless in the series opener but managed to claim one wicket in the second T20I at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram.

Mukesh was married to his friend Divya Singh on November 28. Many famous Indian cricketers attended the wedding party. The couple will host the reception on December 4, Monday.

Deepak last played for India in December 2022. Chahar picked up a hamstring injury earlier in the season and missed 6 IPL league games for CSK. Earlier, he missed last year’s IPL due to a back injury.
