Shami Slams Mitchell For His Disrespectful Act After World Cup Win: In the ICC World Cup Final 2023 in Ahmedabad, India lost the game against Australia, Australia won the trophy and went back. But after that, an image of Mitchell Marsh went viral and sparked Controversy.

The picture represents the Australian Cricket Star placing his feet on the World Cup trophy. This became controversial as he disrespected the trophy and the spirit of the game.

Many people have expressed their disappointment against the feet act by Australian cricketer Mitchel Marsh on the trophy and also many argued that such action undermine the godliness of the trophy and the values associated with the sport.

Mohammad Shami Slams Mitchell For His Disrespectful Act After World Cup Win, in a statement to the reporters by saying,

“I feel upset. Placing a foot on the trophy, the one every team competes for, the trophy you dream of raising, that didn’t make me happy.”

Shami didn’t play the first four games of India but he came into the team after Hardik Pandya’s injury and Shami said that team’s performance made him happy.

“When you sit out for four matches, you need to be mentally strong. Sometimes you are under pressure but when you see the team performing well and going in a good direction, it gives you satisfaction.”

And even Shami told PUMA India about the pitch before the game as it adds the pressure. He also said that he had not checked the pitch in the final against Australia.

“Generally, bowlers check the pitch after arriving at the ground. I never go close to the wicket because you will know how it behaves only when you bowl on it. Then why take the pressure? It’s best to keep it simple, keep yourself relaxed, and only then you will perform better.”
