Ian Bishop Suggests BCCI Provide Fast Bowling Contract: In recent times, Mayank Yadav has given back-to-back impressive performances, and by seeing him former West Indies pacer Ian Bishop was impressed by his performances and suggested BCCI give a fast bowling contract to Yadav immediately.

He took to Twitter to share this news. Mayank Yadav has been a revelation in this IPL (Indian Premier League) season.

Mayank Yadav impressed many bowlers and cricketers with his fast bowling in this IPL season 2024. In the last two matches, Mayank consistently bowled the 150KMPH. Lucknow bought Mayank for Rs.20 Lakhs in the 2020 auction but he did not play due to injuries.

In the second match with RCB, he bowled the fourth-fastest delivery in the history of IPL which is 156.7 KMPH.

Nothing else needs to be seen to add a sixth name to the fast bowling contracts list.

Ian Bishop tweeted after the game that,

“Nothing else needs to be seen to add a sixth name to the fast bowling contracts list.”

Bishop took to the social media platform “X” after the list was released.

“Very innovative move by India to give out fast-bowling contracts. I am a big fan of that, especially to see Umran Malik’s name on that list. Any team that wants to be globally competitive must procure and develop quality fast-bowlers.”

At the moment, Akash Deep, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Umran Malik, Yash Dayal, and Vidwath Kaverappa are the only players with a pacers’ contract.
