Aakash Chopra’s Reaction on Cameron Green Acquired to RCB From MI: After Cameron Green acquired Royal Challengers Bangalore from Mumbai Indians, former Indian batter Aakash Chopra said that RCB did a great favor by taking Cameron Green from Mumbai Indians (MI) as they eventually gave them money to bring Hardik Pandya back.

After the Cameron Green retention process, the purse of MI has added a whopping Rs.17.5 crore with an MI Balance of 15.25 crore. So they brought Hardik Pandya back with Rs.15 crore.

Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has made a change to the Bangalore franchise and RCB director Mo Bobat, has confirmed all cash trades for Green from the MI on Monday with the substantial Rs.17.5 crore.

“Green has gone red or you can say RCB has gone Green. They did a huge favor to Mumbai because if this deal had not happened, the Hardik deal wouldn’t have happened. Things have changed suddenly.”

Another former KKR opener feels that it might be better if the RCB bought a star all-rounder from Australia for a cheap rate.

“It wouldn’t have been a bad idea to stop (Hardik’s) deal by not doing this (Green’s) deal. I am seeing it from Bangalore’s perspective and not from Mumbai’s. They (MI) would have released him (Green). Would you have got Cameron Green more expensive than 17.5 crores if they had released him?”

Anyhow, Aakash Chopra is happy with the inclusion of Green in RCB. He said that this would provide extra batting depth to the team with Faf du Plessis, Maxwell, and Virat Kohli already taking the charge in the top order.
