CSK Coach Fleming About Jadeja After Ruturaj Replaces Captaincy After Dhoni: We all know that even Dhoni stepped out of captaincy in IPL 2022 also and he replaced Ravindra Jadeja as a new skipper but again in the middle he joined the campaign.

And the CSK coach said that it was completely Dhoni’s call to hand over the captaincy to Ruturaj.

As next day, IPL 2024 was going to start and everyone was ready and excited from teammates to the fans, but suddenly Dhoni announced that he was handing over the captaincy to the RuturajGaikwad.

That kept in shock for CSK fans and the team. On Thursday in the press conference, CSK Coach Fleming said that,

“It was MS [Dhoni’s decision] with a lot of consideration and one view to the future on the back of a good season last year.”

“The timing was good. Behind the scenes, Ruturaj and others have been on a, say, a captaincy-grooming process, looking forward to days like this and the opportunities come up, but MS is the best judge and he felt the time was right.”

He also said that,

“Jadeja went into CSK folklore with those two shots that he played in the last two balls of the last IPL. Jadeja is a tough character and there is a strong component of leadership in him and Ruturaj will use his help.”

Also while talking about the appointment of Ruturaj, the coach answered that,

“Ruturaj is very self-assured, he has a great approach for fellow payers and is well-respected in the group.”

“His body is stronger than it was last season and the most amazing thing about him is his durability and desire. His ability to come back time and time again is almost contagious. Add to that the skills that he still has and he has been hitting the ball beautifully at the nets.”
