Mohammad Kaif Urges BCCI To Make Yashasvi Part of ODI Team: IND vs ENG five-match test series has been completed and India won the series with leading 4 out of 5 matches. And in that match, everyone showed a stellar performance in the India team, and in that, Yashasvi was also one of them.

By seeing his remarkable performance in the Test series Mohammad Kaif urges BCCI to include him in India’s ODI team.

Mohammad Kaif Lauds About Young Indian Opener Yashasvi For His Performance in IND vs ENG Test Series

Yashasvi has made his mark in the five-match series against England and also he got the Player of the Series award. Kaif was very much impressed by the performance of Jaiswal and requested Indian selectors to hand him to India’s ODI team.

As he can play well in red-ball format and T20 he thought it was the right time for him to make a debut in ODI so that the 22-year-old opener will be skillful in all types of formats.

Talking to Star Sports, Kaif said about Jaiswal,

“The sample size is very small, but we have been seeing Jaiswal for many years. We have seen him in the Ranji Trophy and the IPL. He played splendidly in the IPL, and he is an incredible player.”

He also added by saying that, “He has not yet made his ODI debut. Give him an ODI debut as well. He is an all-format player, whether you talk about ODIs, T20s or Tests. As a batter, he has both defensive and attacking techniques.

When he makes up his mind and if it is required, he can go from the first to the sixth or seventh gear. Hitting Anderson for three sixes in three balls in a Test match shows how capable a batter he is.”

Record Breaking Performance by Yashasvi in IPL 2023

In IPL 2023, he scored 625 runs in a single series and stood in 2nd place after Sunil Gavaskar Who scored 700 runs in a single series. He smoked 26 sixes, which also included 3 sixes on the trot against James Anderson, and became the 2nd Indian batter who has made the most sixes against a single team.

Presently, he is also eagerly waiting for the Indian Premier League to make his mark again.
