“I would also like to think that he would help Hardik, help him do his job as best as he can. We have talked a lot about Rohit, his captaincy, and his leadership skills. He can still be a leader, in a slightly different way. I would fully expect him to do that,” he added.

Anyhow, for the last few years, Rohit Sharma has not had the best performances with the bat for Mumbai Indians. He scored 332 runs in 16 matches for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023 at an average of just 20.75. Rohit last scored more than 400 runs in a season in 2019.
