Sanju Samson Fined By BCCI Over Arguing Umpires After Controversial Dismissal: Recently, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals fought against each other on May 7, Tuesday in Match 56 at Arjun Jaitley stadium. In the middle of that match, due to the dismissal of Sanju Samson, he argued with umpires.

According to the ICC code of conduct, he was punished with 30% of his match fees, i.e., 30 lakhs.

In the match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals, DC won the game against Rajasthan Royals but in that match there was an incident happened which led to the punishment of Sanju Samson.

After a heated on-field argument Sanju Samson was punished according to the IPL code of conduct the offense committed by Samson was not specified but it could be for arguing with the umpires when he was given out after Shai Hope took a catch just near the boundary ropes in the 16th over.

According to IPL’s statement, the RR skipper ‘committed a Level 1 offense under Article 2.8 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct’ and has accepted the Match Referee’s sanction.

“Mr. Sanju Samson, Captain, Rajasthan Royals has been fined 30 percent of his match fees for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during Match 56 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on May 07, 2024.

“Samson committed a Level 1 offense under Article 2.8 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offense and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” the BCCI’s statement read.

Here the question for Samson is whether Hope’s feet touched the boundary ropes while taking the catch. Samson was not happy with the third umpire’s decision.
