Shikhar Dhawan Gives Credit To Indian Captain For His Best Performances: In the limited overs format, Shikar Dhawan has an amassed runs of 5148 along with Rohit Sharma, as a openers for Team India from 2013 to 2022.

This India team is the fourth opening team in the ODI history had scored 5000 runs. Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly, Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden, and Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes are the three pairings crossed 5000 runs.

And for the most of the best performances that was given by Dhawan is only because of Rohit Sharma according to Dhawan.

Dhawan is the veteran opener for India, who featured in 34 tests, 167 ODIs and 68 T20Is. And this star batter is going to lead Punjab Kings in the 2024 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).

And in the IPL 2023, PBK’s skipper scored 373 runs in 11 games. Dhawan praises and gives credit to Rohit Sharma for Dhawan’s performance while discussing about Rohit.

Dhawan speaking to Times of India, about the fellowship with Rohit Sharma, he said that,

“My collaboration with Rohit & his support at the other end at the top of the order has been instrumental in providing strong starts to the team, setting the foundation for successful chases and big totals.

I seriously give credit for a lot of my best performances to Rohit’s support.”

Dhawan also added that, “Rohit on the other end gives that sense of comfort and assurance.

I think our best innings was a 193-run opening stand against Australia in the fourth ODI at Mohali in 2019 & the second best will be against Pakistan in the 2018 Asia Cup in Dubai where we put together a 210-run stand for the first wicket.”
