Gavaskar Analyzes Dube’s Impressive Performance Causing a Dilemma For Selectors: On Sunday, as India played a game against Afghanistan at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore, India defeated Afghanistan by 6 wickets.

And everyone has given their best performances and Dube is in form by doing half century even in IND vs AFG T20I second test. And as selectors are in great confusion on what to do with Dube when Hardik returns to the squad.

Because selectors are impressed with Dube performance. For that, Sunil Gavaskar shared his view.

Gavaskar Idea On Dube After Hardik Enters the Team

As Hardik Pandya was not participating in any of the matches that is going on due to the injury that took place in the World Cup 2023. For this Afghanistan series, Dube has been replaced in the place of Hardik.

In the first two matches in the Afghanistan series, Dube has impressed selectors with his outstanding performances. Along with Dube in the second match against Afghanistan Yashasvi jaiswal also has made half century.

Gavaskar speaking to Cricbuzz, about Dube’s recent performances, he said that,

“We have been talking about him as, ‘Oh, listen, what if Hardik is unfit?’, I think what he is doing is making sure that even if Hardik is fit, he is on that plane in that World Cup squad.

If you put in performances like this, it is very hard for anyone to drop you. It is going to be a really tough decision for the selectors if they decide to drop him. He is doing all that he can, which is giving the selectors a headache.”

He also added that,

“After these two games, I think he now feels that he belongs at the international level. He has got the appreciation and respect of his teammates because he put in two absolutely wonderful performances.

I think he is just a lot more comfortable about his own game. He knows his own game better. He is not trying to copy anyone now. He is saying, This is what I can do and what I bring to the table.”
