Shubhman Gill Was Replaced By Sarfaraz Khan for the IND vs ENG Test in Vizag Day 4: The IND vs ENG match is going on with tough competition between both, in Vizag.

Currently, 3 days have been completed of the second test match and the Day 4 game has already been started. But BCCI has announced an update that Shubhman Gill was not coming to the field on Day 4.

As the Day 4 test against England is going on for India in Vizag, Indian opening batter Shubman Gill was not playing on the Day 4 test due to injury. In place of him, Sarafaraz Khan has been substituted.

The same was informed by the Indian team to the match officials before the start of play on Monday by BCCI.

On Twitter, X BCCI has updated the info ahead of the start of play on Day 4 by saying that Shubman Gill got injured on Day 2.

“Shubman Gill hurt his right index finger while fielding on Day 2. He won’t be taking the field today.”

After the Day 3 match, Gill spoke on the post-match conference by saying that,

“It was very important and very satisfying for me to be able to score runs at No. 3. And it felt pretty good, especially with the situation. We lost Yashasvi and Rohit [Sharma] bhai – they’ve been giving us really good starts at the top of the order.

I think it was important for us to get a big lead and to be able to get as many runs as possible.”

24 Year Old also added that he did not break down

“I think that’s part and parcel of the game. You do well and everybody’s going to applaud you. You don’t do well, everybody’s doing too… But I think the important thing is to be able to know what you’re going to do when you go into bat.

I’m someone who likes to see the situation, play according to the situation and take chances and I think play percentage cricket.”
