Shubman Gill Might be the Captain of Gujarat Titans: After Hardik Pandya traded to MI, Gujarat Titans has appointed Shubman Gill as the captain for this 17th season of Indian Premier League (IPL).

Gill first started hsi IPL with Kolkata Knoight Riders, in 2018 and released ahead of the auction in 2022. At that time, in 2022, Gill was brought on board with the auction of Rs. 7crore. Along with him Hardik and Rashid for Rs.15 crore each.

And on his captaincy Gill has reacted and said that,

“I am delighted and proud to assume the captaincy of Gujarat Titans and thank the franchise for their trust in me to lead such a fine team,” also said that,

“We have had two exceptional seasons and I keenly look forward to leading the team with our exciting brand of cricket.”

Eventhough there are some other options for Gujarat Titans for the captaincy after Hardik Pandya, still GT has decided to make Gill as the captain for Gujarat Titans.

IPL 2023 is the one where he proved his stamina in cricket and he would be equal in T20 as well. Many of them are thinking that captaincy giving to gill might be wrong decision too, why because.

Captaincy is not a simple thing, sometimes it will take best out of players and it will break the players. Leading an IPL team is not an easy task.

And also Gill has less experience compared to some of the players in the Gujarat Titans. Captaincy may affect his performance. And also as gujarat Titans is the Champion at first and also went till finals in the next match.

Now every one eyes will be on Gill on how he will perform as a captain.
