Dinesh Karthik’s Reflection on Rinku’s Journey and Bond with Nayar: India was in an unsafe position in the final over for the 1st T20I series while chasing 209 runs against Australia. After losing three wickets in three balls, India needed one run in one ball. After the match, the hug between Rinku Singh and Abhishek Nayar went viral.

And Dinesh Karthik revealed the relationship between Rinku and Nayar on social media and hailed the duo.

After the T20I match, cricket lovers praised Surya Kumar Yadav for his aggressive batting against Australia. At the same time, another of India’s new ‘finishers’ Rinku Singh got a fan base as he stole the limelight on Thursday.

Rinku Singh played the knock with 22 runs in 12 balls and still not out. He held his nerves in the last over and made India win by 2 wickets in the first of a five-match T20I series.  After they got a thrilling victory for India against Australia,  Rinku went to Nayar and gave a hug.

He shared a message with a vivid picture of the duo and he expressed,

“This is one of the most fulfilling and heartwarming pictures going around The relationship between ABHISHEK NAYAR and RINKU SINGH it was a partnership that started in 2018 during my time in KKR.

Nayar always saw the potential in Rinku, he kept telling me, it was only a matter of time before he did something really special. Coming from a small town in Aligarh, all he needed was to think big, and I think that shift in mindset was what Nayar worked with Rinku majorly about apart from fine-tuning his death-hitting skills,”

Even during the time he had an ACL injury, nayar convinced @VenkyMysore sir who gracefully accepted Rinku to be part of the team and made him travel and stay with KKR. He stayed in Nayar’s house post-IPL for many months for Rehab and started working on his batting and had a stellar domestic season and then eventually did what Nayar and KKR always thought he could do, a MATCH WINNING FINISHER.”

He also added, “And today when I see this photo, I just feel like NAYAR as a coach has grown in stature and can share the happiness he feels for Rinku along with the rest of the world.
