Gavaskar Supports MI Decision To Replace Hardik in Place of Rohit: Many reports that came out, Hardik Pandya came to the Mumbai Indians team on the condition of making him captain of MI. Even Rohit Sharma agreed to this but most of the fans didn’t agree.

And MI is the most successful franchise that always wins in IPL history. Even Hardik has been a successful captain as he led Gujarat Titans 2 times. Sunil Gavaskar recently became involved in this and said that MI made a good decision to replace Hardik Pandya in place of Rohit Sharma.

Speaking to Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar has expressed his view on the captain of Mumbai Indians as MI decided to replace Hardik Pandya in place of Rohit Sharma,

“We shouldn’t go into rights and wrongs. But, the decision they have taken is for the benefit of the team. In the last two years, Rohit’s contribution, even with the bat, has dipped a little bit.

Earlier, he used to score big, but in the last two years they finished No. 9 or No. 10 the year before last year and in the last year they qualified for the playoffs.”

“Hardik is a young and fresh captain who has delivered the results. He led the Gujarat Titans to two IPL finals and achieved a title once. So pretty sure they made him captain keeping all this in mind.

Sometimes you need fresh thinking, and Hardik can bring that. Making Hardik captain may or may not benefit the team, but it sure won’t hurt them,” he added.
