Initially, there was silence as no team was interested in bidding for Head. Eventually, SRH stepped in, showing a clear interest in bolstering their top order.

Adding to the intrigue, CSK (Chennai Super Kings) joined the bidding, speaking a brief battle between CSK and SRH. Finally, CSK withdrew from the competition.
