Michael Atherton critiques Ollie Robinson’s Performance against India In Ranchi Test: England Cricket Team Ex-skipper Michael Atherton just shared his dissatisfaction with Ollie Robinson’s game in the Day 4 Test match against India occurred in Ranchi.

A fast bowler Ollie, who was unfit to handle any wickets in the first innings. Yet, he did not even pass the ball in the last game as India nailed the series with the rest of one match. This twist must have left Robinson dissatisfied, as he was unskillful to give his best contribution to the team’s win in any noteworthy manner.

Robinson performed his first international arrival in the Ranchi Test after the Ashes 2024 in Headingley. He wasn’t chosen for the first three Tests of the series. He achieved 58 runs in the first innings, helping Joe Root to drive England’s total above 300.

While speaking on the Sky Cricket Podcast, Michael Atherton expressed about Ollie like this, “Ollie Robinson, I was really disappointed with him in this game. I felt that he bowled, his pace was pedestrian, and he was quite down on pace. Obviously scored that half-century, but dropped a catch. He was not called upon by Stokes on the last day and he looked like a player who had been out of cricket for seven months. He looks like a bowler who needs a good run of game time now, not necessarily with England either”.

It is skeptical whether Ollie will resume being part of the squad for the series decider in Dharamshala, where the seamers are expected to acquire some aid. Mark Wood has been relaxed for the 4th Test and may make a comeback to the playing XI, while James Anderson is a seasoned player of the squad, who has already performed three successive tests.
