Rashid Khan Praises Fazalhaq Farooqi as a superstar of the Afghanistan team: Afghanistan defeated Papua New Guinea by seven wickets in their league stage match on June 14, Friday at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad.

And Afghanistan Captain hails Farooqi for his performance as he is a good wicket-keeper and also won the Player of the Match award for the second time in this T20 World Cup 2024.

On June 14, Friday, Afghanistan had a clash against PNG and Afghanistan won the match. At first, AFG won the toss and asked PNG to bat first, and also Farooqi took 3 wickets which was the highlight of the game.

And also Farooqi has got another award as the player of the match. Rashid Khan praises Farooqi for his performance and also Rashid calls him a ‘superstar’ of the team.

In a video that was posted by ICC on their social media, Rashid was speaking about Farooqi who is a member of the Afghanistan team, and said,

“Well, I think he’s a superstar for us. We call him Superstar the way he has performed for us, and it’s so good to see him back in form.

He was a little bit struggling before, but I think you know that’s something which gives us so much base, a strong base where he started with the ball and gives a couple of breakthroughs.”

“It has been great so far. Three wins in a row. Great to be at the table where we finished. We finished well in the last game as well, but I think the credit goes to the boys.

They took responsibility with both the bat and ball, but yeah, I think it’s huge for us. You know, we just the first time for us being in the Super Eight in T20 World Cup,” he added.

“Some brilliant cricket. I think that’s why we’re here. We work very hard. We’re just taking each game one game at a time, and we’ve gone through a lot, you know.

But I think this is a time of time. We are well-prepared for it, and we’re looking forward to having great games in Super Eight as well, everyone is so excited about Super Eight, and we hopefully deliver the same as we did in the group stages,” Rashid Concluded.

On June 18, Tuesday, Afghanistan is going to face West Indies in their last match of Group C.
