ODI World Cup 2023 Sets Record Most Fans Attended ICC Event with 1.25 Millions

The 13th edition of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup has made history by being the most spectators attended ICC event ever. A total of 1,250,307 fans viewed the turnstiles to witness the biggest ODI World Cup 2023, cuminating Australia winning remarkable sixth match.

The event was held from October 5 to November 19 recorded as the biggest attendance for CWC opening match England faced New Zealand in repaet of 2019 World Cup final in Ahmedabad. It was followed by the most attended India vs Pakistan fixture in ICC World Cup history when fans flocked through the turnstiles on October 14.

With 6 games to go the spectator figures had alraedy crossed one million mark with the momentum escalating as the World Cup culminated in front of a packed crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
A total of 1.25 million fans is a new chapter in the history of cricket, surpassing the attendance figures of any other ICC event. The latest edition of World Cup held in India has eclipsed the previous figures and proving the global reach and ever growing popularity of the sport.
