Rohit Sharma Reveals Insights on India’s T20 World Cup 2024 Team Selection: India has won the T20I series against Afghanistan by 3-0. This victory has created a competition for the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2024.

After smashing the Afghans in all three T20I series between India versus Afghanistan, the Indian captain has communicated with Jio Cinema. While speaking to Jio Cinema, he clarified that the final 15-member blue team for the T20I World Cup was not finalized yet.

He even mentioned that they are thinking of nearly 8-10 players in mind and emphasized that the squad will be chosen according to the conditions in the West Indies.’

The captain of the blue team declared that leach coach Dravid and I discussed the significance of maintaining clarity in understanding with the players about their selection with reasons even after remarkable performance.

“We have not finalized the 15-member squad but there are 8-10 players in our minds. So we will make our combinations according to the conditions. In the West Indies, the conditions are slow, so we’ll have to pick our team accordingly,” Rohit Sharma mentioned. 

“As far as Rahul Dravid and I are concerned, we’ve tried to maintain clarity. We try to tell them why they’ve been selected or not been selected even after putting in performances,” stated Rohit.

The right-handed batter emphasized that as per his experience in handling the captaincy till now, he understood how to think about the squad’s overarching goals instead of personal concerns.

“You can’t keep everyone happy, that is what I’ve learned in my time as captain. You can keep 15 players happy. Then also, only 11 are happy. The four players sitting on the bench also ask why they’re not playing. I’ve learned that you can’t keep everyone happy, and the focus should be on the team’s goal,” the captain and opening batsman expressed.
