How to Customize the Classic Start Menu Tiles?

Here is how to enable the Classic Start Menu Tiles on your device. Simply follow the steps given below:

  1. Open the Run dialogue by clicking on the ( Win + R ) keys together.
  2. Type in the word ‘Regedit’ in the run dialogue box and press on OK to open the Registry Editor.
  3. Click on the Yes button when the UAC window appears on the screen.
  4. Go to the following registry key inside the Registry Editor.
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Softwae\Micosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
  5. Go to the right pane available when you reach the given location.
  6. You will find a list contained within the RegKey under the right side.
  7. Proceed to search for the Start_ShowClassicMode RegKey.
  8. If you cannot find the key, you will have to create a new DWORD value.
  9. To create a new DWORD Value, click on the Advanced Key and then proceed to Select New and then DWORD (32-bit) value
  10. Then name the key you just created as Start_ShowClassicM ode and then press on the ‘Enter’ button.
  11. Then follow by double-clicking on the Start_ShowClassicMode key and setting the Value Data as 1
    Now, if you desire to revert and bring back the new floating start menu,
  12. You can set this data value to 0 or delete the Start_ShowClassicMode DWORD value
  13. Once you are done making the desired changes, click on the OK button and restart your Windows 11 device.
