Sunil Gavaskar's Special Advice for India Captain before 1st Test Series Against England

Sunil Gavaskar’s Special Advice for India Captain before 1st Test Series Against England, ‘Rohit Sharma will need to…’: Sunil Gavaskar, the former Indian cricketer and active commenter, has voiced his view that Rohit Sharma’s current good form can give India a strong start in the forthcoming Test series vs England.

India, who recently played a two-Test series in South Africa, is now training to host England for five Test matches as part of the continuous cycle of the ICC World Test Championship. Rohit Sharma, the proficient opener, has retrieved his most elevated form during the recently finished Afghanistan test series.

As India prepares for their next high-profile assignment, a five-match Test series, legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has expressed his desire for Rohit Sharma to lead the team from the front.

Gavaskar reminisced about Sharma’s spectacular batting performance in Chennai against England and feels that his experience and leadership mastery would help guide the middle-order batters of the Indian team.

“Rohit, the batter, how he batted in the Chennai Test, he hit a hundred, and it was a very good hundred. He showed how to bat on spin-friendly pitches. India will get a good start if he continues to bat that way. And it can easily make No.3 and No. 4 batters’ lives”.

“As captain, Rohit Sharma will need to use his bowlers cleverly.
