India’s T20 World Cup 2024 Jersey Leaked? New Jersey Photo Goes Viral on Social Media

As the T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled for next month, fans will be gearing up for a proper cricket extravaganza. The new tournament is being co-hosted by the West Indies and the US. The BCCI have already announced Team India’s 15-member squad, and there were few surprises.

Meanwhile, cricket fans are also waiting for the unveiling of India’s official T20 World Cup squad jersey. Adidas is BCCI’s official kit sponsor, and they have been making separate kits for both ODIs and T20Is.

The team India’s ODI jersey is collared and shows the tiger’s stripes. Meanwhile, the T20I jersey symbolises the Ashoka Chakra, which is available in the Indian flag. Both of them have stripes on the shoulder, each one of them symbolizing the indomitable spirit, one that makes you believe “impossible is nothing.”

The ODI World Cup 2023 saw team India wearing the tri-coloured stripes on their shirts throughout their campaign in the showpiece event. However, the kits for the upcoming tournament in the West Indies and the US are yet to be announced.

But on Sunday, a photo took social media by storm which shows a brand-new design of India’s T20I jersey. The netizens have been sharing it on their walls, suggesting it could be the outfit that Rohit Sharma and his team shall sport in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

As seen in the picture, there are tri-coloured stripes on its V-shaped neck and saffron sleeves with the trademark Adidas stripes.

If this is the jersey, this will be then considered a huge mishap on the BCCI and Adidas side, as jersey unveilings are usually filled with suspense.

It left social media in a state of meltdown. Reacting to the New Jersey photo, one fan said, “Not good.” Meanwhile, another fan called it a ‘training kit’. Another called it “worst”.

Team India announced their 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 on 30th April with Rohit Sharma leading the squad and Hardik Pandya as the deputy captain.
