IPL Auction 2024 Latest News: It may be the IPL mini-auction that was held today in Dubai but made mega records in the history of IPL. Around 34 players were sold for Rs 175.6 crore. Australian World Cup heroes Mitchell Stac and Pat Cummins ruled the IPL auction as they became the most expensive players ever.

While, Kolkata Knight Riders spent half of their purse i.e. Rs 24.75 crore on Mitchell Stac, Australia ODI World Cup captain Pat Cummins was sold to SRH for Rs 20.50 crore. There were many uncapped players such as Shubham Dubey who also made headlines this time. As IPL looks for fresh players, here is the list of the top 5 most expensive players in the history of IPL.

Mitchell Starc: The Australian pacer became the talk of town as KKR went all out to buy him. At the end of the stunning bidding war, Starc went to KKR for a record-breaking amount of Rs 24.75 crore. It should be noted that Starc had a base price of Rs 2 crore. After the auction, he said, “I’m really excited to play under Shreyas Iyer and understand his thought process. Happy to be finally back at the best T20 league in the world”.

Pat Cummins: The Australian star player made many Indian fans after the World Cup victory. SRH went all the way to get him on board. Cummins was sold for Rs 20.54 crore and will be wearing an orange jersey this time.

Daryl Mitchell: While 2 Australians took the top spots, on number 3 in IPL 204 auction was this all-rounder from New Zealand. Son of a rugby player, he was sold to CSK for Rs 14 crore.

Chris Morris: The 4th player on our list is this South African player. Morris was bought by RR for a whopping Rs 16.25 crore for the 2022 IPL edition.

Nicholas Pooran: In IPL 2021, Lucknow Super Giants bought this Trinidadian cricket for a record Rs 16 crore.
