Sarfaraz has been brought in as a replacement for KL Rahul as he got injured. Sarfaraz has shown his talent in Domestic Test Cricket. AB De Villers praised Sarfaraz Khan for his consistency in playing in the domestic circuit.

In the absence of Virat Kohli, Patidar came as the replacement for Virat Kohli for the first test match. And even though Rahul got injured, Sarfaraz has been appointed in his place.

AB De Villiers is excited to see his performance in this IND vs ENG five-match test series. South African Captain AB De Villers said on his Youtube channel that,

“It’s just very exciting for me. His record in first-class cricket is quite outstanding, and if there’s a guy that deserves it, it’s certainly him. He has played 66 innings, 3912 runs, and an average of 69.85. 14 hundreds and 11 fifties, guys, that is not normal.”

He also added by saying, “That is a very, very good first-class record. I know it’s a big jump up to international cricket against England, on the biggest stage, I hope he gets a chance because Rajat Patidar has also been playing well.”

De Villiers noted Sarfaraz’s outstanding statistics, citing 3912 runs from 66 innings at an impressive average of 69.85 and a strike rate of 70.48 with 14 hundred and 11 fifties to his name.
