Ben Stokes Strong Words About Shoaib Bashir on Playing 2nd Test

Ben Stokes Strong Words About Shoaib Bashir on Playing 2nd Test: We all know, that Shoaib Bashir needs to come to India to play IND vs ENG five-match test series, but as he got some Visa issues, he again went back to the UK.

This test series is very important to Shoaib as it is his debut. As per reports, the Young England spinner will be playing the second test match which is going to be held in Visakhapatnam.

But England Skipper Ben Stokes refused to confirm that Bashir will make the playing XI even though Jack Leach has been ruled out of 2nd test match.

“We Haven’t Brought Him Here To…”: Ben Stokes

Everyone thought that Ben Stokes was going to participate in the second test match as he missed his first match, but even playing in the second match, became a question mark.

In case Bashir is going to play, stokes said that he will try to make it as enjoyable for him as possible.

“He’s ruled out of the second Test,” Stokes said, speaking of Leach’s injury. “Unfortunately, the knock he took resulted in a hematoma in his leg. It’s a big shame for us, a big shame for Jack, obviously after a long time out of the game with his back.

“If he was to play on this tour, then the great thing he has on his side is, what is there to lose?” Said Stokes.

“That is how I will be thinking about it if he gets the chance to play: just to make sure I can give him the best experience I possibly can. Because you only play your first Test match once. If he does play, then I will be trying to make it as enjoyable for him as I can.”

Ben Stokes concluded that by saying Shoaib Bashir’s place in this test is still in discussion and said that, Stokes, vice-captain Ollie Pope, and head coach Brendon McCullum will take up a decision based on Vizag Pitch.

“Myself, Baz [Brendon McCullum], and Popey [vice-captain Ollie Pope] will probably have a longer think about it. We looked at the wicket; I gave it a tap, and a play-around to make it look like I knew what I was doing.

Bash is in the squad, we haven’t brought him here to have an experience. If we feel we want to turn to him, we will.”
