BCCI Provides 18 Week High Performance Program For Hardik Pandya

BCCI’s Special Rehab Plan For Hardik Pandya’s Recovery: Hardik Pandya was ruled out from the World Cup 2023 due to an injury. And India went on to the final and Lost against Australia. It is natural for Pandya to be disappointed as he lost the biggest game of his career.

As the crucial T20 World Cup 2024 is in place, reports say that Hardik Pandya is presently engaged in 18 weak High-performance Programs exclusively, made for him. BCCI and NCA are not hurry to bring back Hardik Pandya into the team India.

BCCI & NCA Program For Hardik Pandya For His Injury Recovery

Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s injury has become the biggest concern for BCCI and NCA for the whole management of team India as Hardik has faced an ankle injury while playing in the World Cup 2023.

And NCA designed an 18-week high performance to recover from his injury completely. This program is designed with aspects of fitness like cardio, functional training, strength, and importantly ample rest and recovery.

BCCI preparing Hardik for the T20 World Cup 2024, which will be played in the West Indies and the USA, and 2026, which will be played in India.

CricketNext reports that BCCI has made the player available for a white-ball leg of the South Africa tour or the Afghanistan T20Is in 2024 in January next year. But if he fails to recover, NCA decided to aim for a “comprehensive Rehabilitation.”

A source told CricketNext that,

“We speak of workload management. This is precisely what it is all about. Is there a doubt on his ability as a T20 cricketer? No. What we rather need is setting long-term goals and ensuring endurance levels remain up to the mark,”

And also added,

“It is not something new. Shreyas, Bumrah, and KL underwent similar programs during their long injury layoffs and the routine is designed keeping the next assignments in mind.

Say for KL, wicket-keeping, subcontinent heat, and everything was taken into account. Similarly, Bumrah was eased into cricket with Ireland T20Is before he went full throttle in the Asia Cup.”
