And selection of the 15-member squad is reaching the deadline i.e., May 1. And April 30, the BCCI selection committee started to select the 15-member squad.

The BCCI selection committee on selecting the 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup has scheduled a meeting at Ahmedabad, on April 30. Most of the players have been listed in that 15-member squad, but some of the places are left out and many players are fighting for those places.

Ravi Bishnoi is also one who would also like to join the T20 World Cup 2024 but he left that opinion to select him or not in the hands of the committee.

Bishnoi while speaking to the media in the pre-match press conference of LSG vs MI, said that let the selectors do their job whether is their decision to select him for the T20 World Cup or not.

“This should better be left to the selectors. That would be better because their decision will be after a lot of thinking. Whatever they think would be better for the team, they would do that.”

“As an individual, if you ask me, of course, the World Cup is a big thing and everyone wants to play it in their life. Even I want to play in the World Cup, but at the moment, this work should be left to the selectors. That would be better.”

“Looking at my process, as per that I am doing well. In the last T20 World Cup, I was in the stand-by. Whatever the selectors felt right, they did that and even this time, whatever selectors do, they have long-term thinking.

They are watching the game from outside, so they would know better. We play the game with emotions, but the selectors have to remove the emotions to make a decision,” he added.

If we look at the previous track record of Bishnoi, he was in the No.1 position in the bowler’s T20 WC squad rankings in November 2023. He picked up 9 wickets in the 5 matches against Australia to win the ‘Player of the Series’ award.

Tomorrow everything will be finalised and the team will be announced on May 1. That finalized team will go to the USA and West Indies for the Marquee moment.
