Brett Lee Says That India Lost the Match Due to Australia’s Mentality: Due to the loss of India Australia by 240 runs, Australian pacer Brett Lee says that the old Aussie Mentality has made favorites India lose the game in the World Cup final at Narendra Modi Stadium that was held on Sunday, November 19.

“India was definitely a favorite, 100 percent favorites, but it’s that old Aussie mentality to never ever give up and that goes a long way in big tournaments.

There were a lot of people that wrote the Aussies off saying they weren’t a chance, they did get off to a slow start.”

Brett Lee even said to Foxsports.com.au that,

“But they proved once again last night that with that tenacity, dedication, and self-belief amongst the team, you can actually pull anything off. They actually dominated right from ball one.”

Lee again said that India might lose preparing the slow track for the finals, and said that,

“I was surprised, if you have a look at the Indian attack, Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami, they’ve been on fire this World Cup.”

“It’s the quick bowlers who have been doing very well so I actually thought they’d try to knick off the Aussie top order.”

Even he has given credit to the Australia Skipper Pat Cummins for his calmness and ability to keep the team together.

“The captaincy from Pat Cummins to harness all that energy and belief within the team, we know what would have happened in that team meeting before going out on the field yesterday.”
